Rehabilitation Medicine

Physiatrists, or Rehabilitation Physicians, are medical doctors who have completed training in the specialty of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R).

Physiatrists are experts at diagnosing and providing non-surgical treatments for nerve, muscle, bone injuries and illnesses.

Physiatrists educate patients about injury prevention and activity modification, exercise and other ways to optimize physical health. In addition to establishing a treatment plan, physiatrists also coordinate a multidisciplinary approach that may involve physical therapists and other specialists such as orthopedics and neurosurgery.

Physiatrists help patients restore their maximum function lost through injury, illness or disabling condition. In our office we provide a complete treating of patients with various injuries and diseases of joints, bones, and muscles, musculoskeletal disorders, physical and Neurological rehabilitation including all necessary Electro Diagnostic testing.

We provide:

  • diagnosis and treatment of patients with painful or functionally limiting conditions,
  • the management of co-morbidities and co-impairments,
  • diagnostic and therapeutic injection procedures, and
  • emphasis on prevention of complications of disability from secondary conditions,
  • Platelet Rich Plasma

By combining cutting-edge technology with the body’s natural tendency and ability to heal itself, Platelet Rich Plasma, otherwise known as PRP, is an emerging solution for accelerating the healing process of tendon related injuries, osteoarthritis and other musculoskeletal conditions. The platelets in our blood naturally release various healing proteins, which cumulatively work to restore tissue healing. By utilizing your own blood, PRP treatments provide for an effective formulation of healing proteins to rejuvenate and naturally accelerate your body’s natural repair mechanism
